Several times a year the club sponsors a program to help our communities in one way or another.
A portion of the proceeds from our annual AutoRama Car Show held at the Alamo Dome each year are put back in to our communities in a number of different ways.
In the past we have held huge Toy Drives at Christmas time for underprivileged children. We have also donated toys to the Children's Hospital in San Antonio.

Butch was having as much if not more fun than the kids.

Check out all the people that turned out for this great event!

This young man came up to me and asked where we all got our pins we were wearing. I told him it was from the VFW hall that promoted this ride and he asked if he could have it, so naturally I took it off and pinned it on his jacket.

See flyer below for the 1927 Chevrolet Roadster that will be auctioned in March. All proceedes will benefit CCPAL (Cowboy Capital Pet Assistance League) helping to build a No-Kill Animal Shelter for Cats & Dogs in Bandera County.
A customer of ours from here @ American RV donated the car when they heard about the contract cancellation.
The car can be seen @ American RV if you will just call ahead of time to arrange a time to come see it. Please pass the word around.
Thanks,
Pat Sullivan

The funds raised from our Pinstripers Auction at the AutoRama are donated to the local Salvation Army to be used as they see fit and where they are most needed.
This last year at our Community Appreciation Party, we donated over 200 plates of absolutely wonderful bar-b-que with all the fixins to the local Salvation Army center. These meals were prepared by a local VFW group, and they did a fantastic job, the food was great!

When we have a function that is catered, we try and use organizations that are also Not For Profit so that we benefit two organizations at the same time, by helping them and helping ourselves.
The Gear Grinders believe that we should not only enjoy life but should also contribute back to our communities so that others can also enjoy.
